I need one decision from the board" / "widen tier two" / "side by side"
  • 本体: "and I'm proud of it" / "True, and Grace can clear it." / "only the third one holds up" / "from us anyway"
The trade-off is real" / "good or bad" / "my fallback is ..."
  • Victor: "That's the right worry" / "is a claim ... is evidence" / "If ... by the end of March, I'll bring you the data"
[ask: widen tier two, side by side, from tomorrow] [why today: print at noon tomorrow]
[Slide 2: 20 tests / 38 s / 64 s / 4x, proud] [BUT 28 Nov 2:21, public status page]
[three ways: A true / B true / C mine, cleared]
[Slide 3: 5 of 6 questionnaires → buyers get 2:21 from us anyway]
[C = a fix: same scenario x4, slowest 64 s]
[trade-off: long → banner = test number; full line elsewhere; quarterly]
[decision + fallback = B, not "under a minute"]

Board of Directors · 26 Jan 2027 · Item 6Anchorpoint · Confidential

Decision today: say what we measured, including the outage

Ask: widen tier two from 27 Jan · Booth print deadline: 27 Jan, 12:00
A · Dana
"Failover in under a minute in 19 of 20 tests."
B · current tier two
"Median failover of 38 seconds across 20 controlled tests (20 Jan 2027)."
C · proposed (cleared by Legal)
B + our one live outage (2 min 21 s) + the same scenario re-run 4×, slowest 64 s + quarterly publication

Tests: 38 seconds median. Real outage: 2 minutes 21.

38 smedian, 20 controlled failovers (20 Jan)
19 of 20 under 60 s · slowest 64 s
2:21live regional outage, 28 Nov
provider status went silent · on our public status page
Same scenario as 28 Nov, re-run 4× on 20 Jan: slowest 64 s.

Five of six stalled deals ask for both numbers

Security questionnaires, 6 open deals ($2.4M ARR)
Latest failover test
5 / 6
Incidents, 12 mo, duration
5 / 6
A marketing claim
0 / 6
Banner: test number · Talk, reliability page, questionnaires: full line
Part 2 — board presentation(397

Thank you, Margaret. I need one decision from the board, so let me start with it.

I'm asking you to widen tier two. Today it lets us quote last week's test results and nothing else. I'd like us to quote the tests and our one real outage, side by side, starting tomorrow. The Summit booth goes to print at noon tomorrow, which is why this is on today's agenda.

▶ Slide 2

Aiko walked you through the retest an hour ago: twenty controlled failovers, a median of thirty-eight seconds, the slowest sixty-four. That's four times faster than October, and I'm proud of it. But the only time we've failed over for real, on the twenty-eighth of November, it took two minutes twenty-one. That's on our public status page, with timestamps.

So there are three ways to say this. Dana's: "under a minute in nineteen of twenty tests." True, and Grace can clear it. The current tier two: "a median of thirty-eight seconds across twenty tests." Also true. And mine, which Grace has also cleared: the test numbers, the outage, and what we changed.

▶ Slide 3

Here's why I think only the third one holds up. Noor read the security questionnaires for the six deals Dana flagged, two point four million in ARR. Five of the six ask for the same two things: our latest failover test, and every incident in the last twelve months, with its duration. So those buyers will get the two twenty-one from us anyway, in writing, from our own team, while our banner says "under a minute." The first two versions don't hide the outage. They just make us look as if we hoped nobody would check.

The third version turns it into our strongest line. The outage happened because the provider went silent. We ran that exact scenario four times last week, and the slowest was sixty-four seconds. That's a fix, with a date, that a buyer can verify.

The trade-off is real: it's a longer sentence, and it will never fit on a banner. So the banner carries the test number, and the full line goes into the talk, the reliability page and the questionnaire answers. And we rerun the test every quarter and publish the result, good or bad.

So, the decision: approve the wider tier two from tomorrow. If you'd rather not, my fallback is the current tier two, unchanged. Not "under a minute."

Part 3 — reply to Victor(117語)
You (Priya Anand)answer
That's the right worry, Victor, and I won't pretend our banner will be as punchy as theirs. But I checked both of those homepages yesterday. Neither says when they tested, how often, or what happened in their last real outage. In a questionnaire, "sub-thirty seconds" with no date is a claim. Thirty-eight seconds with a date, a method and a fixed outage is evidence. And the two minutes isn't something we're volunteering. It's already on our status page. The only choice is whether buyers hear it from us, with the fix attached, or find it on their own. If the six deals haven't moved by the end of March, I'll bring you the data and we revisit.
Part 4 — for the minutes(37
You (Priya Anand)to the Chair
You're approving the wider tier two, in Grace's wording, for public use from tomorrow; if you don't, we go to the Summit with today's tier two and nothing stronger, and the booth goes to print either way.

5
3案を同じ型で — A・B に "True" "Also true"。
B。"Not 'under a minute.'"

A. "under a minute in 19 of 20 tests"

G. "the provider went silent"
