You're a backend engineer at an e-commerce company. At 9pm, an on-call alert wakes you up: a subset of users are being double-charged during checkout. You're buried in the investigation, so you pull a teammate, Alex, into the incident Slack huddle to split up the work. Alex hasn't heard anything about this yet.

AlexHey, I'm here — what's going on?
You (internally)You're tempted to jump straight into the root-cause theory and which log lines to check, but Alex is starting from zero. If you skip the big picture, they'll be staring at logs with no idea what they're even looking for.
AlexI've got the log dashboard pulled up, just tell me where to look.

Hint 1: Direction (US version)
Alex knows nothing yet, so pointing them straight at a specific log line first will leave them without context for what they're even looking for. Turn 1 should be a pure summary: what's broken, how bad it is — no logs yet. Turn 2 is where the details go: the working theory, the affected scope, and roughly when it started. Turn 3 splits the investigation into a specific, assignable piece of work, then loops back to the one-line priority so Alex knows exactly where to spend the next few minutes.
Hint 2: Useful phrases (US version)
Turn 1 (summary): "Quick summary: some users are getting double-charged at checkout. This is high priority — let me walk you through what we know." Turn 2 (details): "It looks like it started around 9pm, only affecting users who hit the retry button on checkout. Working theory is a duplicate request ID getting through on retries, but that's not confirmed yet." Turn 3 (assignment + closing summary): "Can you pull the retry-flow logs in chronological order and see if that theory holds up? I'll dig into the request ID dedup logic on the payments API side. Right now the priority is just nailing down how many users are affected — everything else can wait."

YouQuick summary: some users are getting double-charged at checkout. This is high priority — let me walk you through what we know.
AlexDouble-charged, ouch. Do we know what's causing it?
YouIt looks like it started around 9pm, only affecting users who hit the retry button on checkout. Working theory is a duplicate request ID getting through on retries, but that's not confirmed yet.
AlexGot it. So what do you want me to look at?
YouCan you pull the retry-flow logs in chronological order and see if that theory holds up? I'll dig into the request ID dedup logic on the payments API side. Right now the priority is just nailing down how many users are affected — everything else can wait.
Explanation (US version)

Turn 1 deliberately withholds the log dashboard and theory, giving Alex only the two things that matter most right away — what's broken and how urgent it is — so they mentally reprioritize before any technical detail lands. Turn 2 adds the details, but is careful to label the theory as unconfirmed ("that's not confirmed yet") rather than stating a guess as fact, which keeps Alex's own investigation open-minded instead of anchored on one idea. Turn 3 is the hardest part: instead of a vague "can you look into the retry stuff," it hands Alex one specific, boundaried task, then explicitly restates the priority (scope, not root cause) so Alex doesn't quietly wander into fixing something else that feels urgent but isn't the current bottleneck.

一方、英語版の "Can you pull the retry-flow logs..."
