草案

[Hook]:
My father spent thirty years building manufacturing automation systems
for a mid-sized industrial firm in Saitama. When his company was
acquired by a larger conglomerate in 2017, the integration team's
first move was to scrap the proprietary software his team had
developed over decades—software that, despite its idiosyncrasies,
had shaped how operators thought about their work.

[Body]:
I was twenty-one then, finishing my economics degree, watching from
the outside. The lesson I drew that year was not about software or
acquisitions. It was about the gap between technological progress
and the human systems that have to adapt to it. Japanese industry
holds enormous reservoirs of operational knowledge—much of it tacit,
embedded in code, processes, and habits—and the question of how to
upgrade it without erasing it has shaped my career choices ever since.

[Connection]:
Choosing Tokai Tokyo Securities meant studying capital allocation in
this context. Choosing software engineering at MonotaRO meant getting
my hands on the actual systems. Choosing HBS now means learning to
operate at the level where these decisions about industrial DX are
made—not in code or in spreadsheets, but in boardrooms.

[Conclusion]:
This is the perspective I want to bring to my section, my Field team,
and the broader HBS community.
