Q1: 「aim to _____ the spread(蔓延を〜する)」+「through vaccination(ワクチン接種で)」→ curb は「抑える」方向の語。Q4: 「overuse has _____ effectiveness(過剰使用が効果を〜した)」+「giving rise to drug-resistant bacteria(耐性菌を生んだ)」→ マイナス方向の語。

Q9: adopt(取り入れる): adopt a lifestyleadapt(適応する)とは別語。

Q11: 主語の核は The number(単数)→ has risen。(cf. A number of + 複数名詞 は複数扱い)
Q13: to不定詞の否定は to not smokenot to smoke(not を to の前に置く)
Q15: 仮定法過去完了の if 節では would have been distributedhad been distributed

Part B:

8 A — ease "ease the burden(負担を軽減する)" が定番。
9 A — adopt "adopt a lifestyle(生活様式を取り入れる)"。
10 A — invest "invest resources in 〜" が正しい。

Part C:

11 have risen has risen 主語の核は "The number"(単数)→ has。A number of + 複数は複数扱い
12 but also to the mind but also for the mind not only A but also B は形を揃える(for the body / for the mind)
13 to not smoke not to smoke to不定詞の否定は not を to の前に置く
14 the most important factor the most important factors one of the + 最上級の後は複数名詞
15 would have been distributed had been distributed 仮定法過去完了の if 節では would ではなく had + 過去分詞

The number of + 複数名詞 → 単数扱い(核は "the number"): The number of patients has increased.
A number of + 複数名詞 → 複数扱い(「多くの〜」= many): A number of patients have recovered.

not only A but also B は A と B を文法的に同じ形にする(parallelism)。
not only for the body but also for the mind(前置詞句で揃える)
not only for the body but also to the mind(前置詞が不揃い → ❌)
同じ原則: both A and B / either A or B / neither A nor B もすべて並列を守る。

If + 主語 + had + 過去分詞, 主語 + would/could/might + have + 過去分詞.
例: If the vaccine had been distributed earlier, lives could have been saved.
If ... would have been ...

The number of patients have increased The number of patients has increased
good not only for health but also to beauty 相関接続詞の並列を意識しない good not only for health but also for beauty
He decided to not go. He decided not to go.
one of the most important factor 「1つの要因」なので単数と思い込む one of the most important factors
If I would have known, I would have... If I had known, I would have...
