Day 083 — Part 5: 比較表現（as...as / 比較級 / 最上級）

後に than があるので比較級が必要。efficient（3音節）は more efficient の形。much は比較級を強調する副詞（far / even / a lot も可）。
(A) efficiently は副詞形で述語形容詞の位置には不適。(C) 原級は than と共用しない。(D) 最上級は than と共用しない。

後に we had projected という節が続き than が必要 → 比較級。high（1音節）→ higher。
(B) the highest as は文法的に誤り（最上級は of/in を使う）。(C) as high as は「予測通り」の意味になり exceeded と矛盾。(D) 二重比較で誤り。

of all meeting spaces は最上級の根拠。最上級には the が必要。large（1音節）→ the largest。
(B) 比較級は of all と共用しない。(D) most large は誤り（1音節語は -est 形）。

any other employee と比較しているので than が必要 → 比較級。long（1音節）→ longer。
(C) 原級は「同じくらい」の意味で文脈不一致。(D) more long は誤り（1音節は -er）。

「$100以上の注文で配送料無料」= 「少なくとも$100」。no less than = 「少なくとも〜／〜以上」。
(B) no more than = 「せいぜい$100以下」となり文脈不一致。(C) fewer than は可算名詞に使う（金額は不可算）。(D) at least as は比較構文として不完全。

the + 比較級 …, the + 比較級 … 構文（「〜するほど…」）の前半部分。後半の the more に対応。「需要が増えるほど、より多く投資する」。
(B) As more は文法的に意味をなさない。(D) As much as は原級の比較構文で後続と合わない。

twice as … as という倍数表現の前に「ほぼ、約」の意味の副詞が入る。nearly twice as many as = 「ほぼ2倍の」。
(C) much は比較級を強調するが、倍数表現 twice as の直前には使わない。(D) very は倍数表現を修飾できない。

後に those という比較対象があるので比較級 + than。strict（1音節）→ stricter。be動詞の後なので述語形容詞（形容詞形）が必要。
(B) strictly は副詞形で述語形容詞位置に不適。(C) 比較級は than、原級は as（混在不可）。(D) 副詞の原級比較で意味・品詞が不適。

than expected があるので比較級が必要。soon（1音節副詞）→ sooner（比較級）。
(B) 最上級は than と共用しない。(C)(D) more soon / most soon は誤り（1音節語は -er/-est 形）。

no other … was as + 形容詞 + as は「これが最も〜だ」を婉曲に表す構文。述語形容詞なので critical（形容詞）が正しい。
(C) critically は副詞で be 動詞の後に述語形容詞として使えない。(D) so … that は結果の副詞節を導くが文の構造と合わない。
