Part 3「除外の撤回・候補の復活」型 — Phase 4 攻略

出題形式
  • 1会話につき3問、全13会話×3問 = 39問
  • 2016年5月の形式改定（日本実施分）で図表連動問題と意図問題が追加
  • Day154は「2連続例外で3→1に絞る」形。今回は一度消した候補が戻る形
  • 目安: 1会話あたり 約1分30秒
撤回・緩和のシグナル表現
  • I was thinking of ~ / I got that mixed up（取り違えの訂正）
  • has been pushed back / we actually have ~ now（条件の緩和）
  • That opens up another option（候補の復活）
鉄則: 候補を消すときは消した理由もメモする。候補がゼロになったら、その会話では必ず後で何かが覆る。ゼロの瞬間に答えを選ばない。

2種類の「復活」を並べて見る

型A: 例外情報の撤回（会話1）
「消した理由」そのものが誤りだった
「Harbor Kitchen は閉店した」→ 実は Harbor Grill（別会社）の話だった。会話中で消した候補が戻る。
型B: 表の条件の緩和（会話2）
「消した基準」そのものが変わった
「4日以内」→ 設営が1日延びて「5日」。表の時点で落とした候補（5日の InkWell）が戻る。

攻略の4ステップ

InkWell は「5日」で1日だけ超過。惜しい落ち方の候補は、条件が動くと戻る。

作問上の判断メモ（採らなかった案と理由）

  • 撤回の型を2つに分けた理由: 「例外の撤回」だけを2会話でやると、2会話目は1会話目のなぞりになる。会話2は「表の条件そのものが緩む」形にして、表の時点で落とした候補が戻る点を練習できるようにした
  • 採らなかった案: 撤回が3回続く形。1会話150〜200語の本番の分量に収まらず、不自然な会話になるので見送った
  • 意図問題を各会話に1問入れた理由: 900点帯では図表問題と意図問題の取りこぼしが失点源になりやすい。撤回の一文と、緩和を受けた一文をそのまま引用文にした
  • 会話の長さ（実測）: 会話1は157語、会話2は162語（transcript の発話部分を wc -w で数えた値）
  • 扱っていない範囲: 音声がないため、聞き取り速度・アクセント（米・英・加・豪）への対応は練習できない。transcript を声に出して読み、1会話30〜40秒で読み切れるかを確認するとよい
