Part 3
(Questions 1–6)
| Vehicle | Seats | Rate per Hour | Minimum Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minibus A | 16 | $80 | 4 hours |
| Coach B | 30 | $120 | 3 hours |
| Coach C | 45 | $150 | 3 hours |
| Coach D | 55 | $190 | 2 hours |
Ravi: Forty-six staff members have signed up for Friday's offsite at the Lakeview Training Center, so I need to book transportation today. I'm thinking of the fifty-five-seat coach, just to be safe.
Mei: Wait, the five people from the Eastside office are driving up the night before. They won't need a seat.
Ravi: Oh, right. That changes the number.
Tom: And two more people told me this morning that they've had to cancel. So I'd go with the smallest vehicle that still holds everyone. The bigger one costs more, and we'd have empty seats.
Mei: Even so, the thirty-seat coach would be too small, wouldn't it?
Tom: Yes, by a wide margin. We need the vehicle from nine until eleven thirty, and we'll arrange the return trip separately.
Ravi: Does the company pay for the actual hours, then?
Tom: Not exactly. The rental sheet lists a minimum charge for each vehicle, and anything under that is billed at the minimum.
Ravi: Understood. I'll book it now and send the confirmation to Accounting.
| Quantity per Order | Discount |
|---|---|
| 1–11 | 0% |
| 12–23 | 8% |
| 24–35 | 15% |
Dana: I'm placing the toner order for all three floors. Each floor goes through about eight cartridges a quarter, so I'll order twenty-four.
Sam: Last quarter we actually used six per floor. That's eighteen in total.
Dana: Hmm. Eighteen would still get us a discount. But look at the sheet. Twenty-four moves us into the top tier, and the unit price is fifty dollars either way.
Sam: But that's more money overall, isn't it?
Dana: Yes, about two hundred dollars more. But the price per cartridge drops, and toner doesn't expire. The extras will just sit in the supply room until next quarter.
Sam: Fine by me. Send me the order number once it's confirmed.
Sam は「Last quarter we actually used six per floor」と言い、Dana の見積り(1フロア8個)より少なかったと指摘。

| 表の最低条件が実使用量に優先する | Q3 | anything under that is billed at the minimum = 実量より表のルール |
Dana の I'll order twenty-four が決定 |
話者特定は Day105/Day112 で扱い済み
