題材: 直近の日曜が配送料金・AV機器保守・ソフトウェア更新と料金表系が続いたため、TOEIC 頻出の「会議・研修のホテル手配」に替えた。ブロックの80%前後を最低保証にする形はホテル団体契約で広く見られる（一般知識。金額・日付・社名は架空）。

Questions 1–5 refer to the following agreement and e-mail.
Room block: 60 guest rooms per night for the nights of June 10 and June 11 (120 room-nights in total) at a group rate of $189 per room per night, plus applicable taxes.
- Cutoff date: Attendees must make their reservations by May 20. After this date, any rooms in the block that have not been reserved will be released to the hotel's general inventory, and the group rate will be offered only if rooms remain available.
- Guaranteed minimum: The client guarantees that at least 80 percent of the total room block will be used. If fewer room-nights are used, the client will be charged the group rate for each room-night below this minimum.
- Complimentary rooms: The client will receive one complimentary room-night for every 40 room-nights used. Complimentary room-nights cannot be applied toward charges under item 2.
- Block reduction: The client may reduce the room block by up to 10 percent without charge, provided that the hotel receives written notice no later than April 30. Reductions requested after this date will not change the guaranteed minimum.
- Meeting space: The rental fee for the Cascade Ballroom ($1,500 per day) will be waived if the client's total food and beverage spending during the event is $8,000 or more.

扱わなかった範囲
- 宴会場費（条項5）は設問にしなかった。飲食は $3,600×2＋$1,200 = $8,400 で基準を超えるが、Torres はまさに算入されるかをホテルに確認している段階で、本文だけでは免除を断定できない
- 実際のホテル契約でよくある条項（キャンセル料の段階表、F&B minimum の割合、税・サービス料）は入れていない。TOEIC は本文の条項だけで解く作り
- TP（3文書）は今日は扱わない。来週の日曜は TP に戻す予定
発展: reception を取りやめたら？ → 飲食 $7,200 < $8,000 で会場費は免除されない。利用日数が本文に無いので、言えるのは「会場費がかかる」まで。
